Job Description: Our client is a leading multidisciplinary R&D organization dedicated to meeting critical U.S. Cyber Security and Cyber Warfare needs via advanced technologies and systems. They execute a variety of scientific and engineering R&D efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), and various national defense agencies.
Responsibilities • Mid/Senior/Principal Research Engineer to work multiple projects developing advanced Computer Network Operations (CNO) technologies that meet mission-critical needs. • Primary emphasis on the prototyping and experimental analysis of components and end-to-end systems for Cyber Security and Cyber Warfare at the embedded-system, host, network, and enterprise levels. • Mid/Senior/Principal Research Engineer plays a critical lead role in developing and analyzing CND/CNE/CAN components and systems as part of a high performance multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Mid/Senior/Principal Research Engineer also participates in formal customer presentations and proposals as a technical Subject matter Expert. • Mid/Senior/Principal Research Engineer independently leads small R&D efforts or development teams within larger projects
Required Skills: • Essential expertise includes knowledge of a broad range of advanced computer security technologies • Strong communication skills is a must • Windows internal C/C++ and/or either UNIX/Linux mobile platform skills required
Should also have strong capabilities in at least three of the following: o Device drivers o Operating systems o Reverse engineering, Vulnerability analysts, Exploit development,and related disciplines o Networking o System administration o Embedded Systems o Computer Systems architecture/design o Computer engineering o Systems Analysis and experimentation o Security Technologies
• The candidate must also be able to excel in a technical lead role on a multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Skills: • PhD in Cyber related discipline a plus • TS/SCI clearance preferred • Advanced knowledge of operating systems internals, reverse engineering, computer architectures, vulnerability analysis, and security technologies highly desirable.
