Clearance: TS/SCI Full-Scope poly
DOD 8570 IAT III certification required
Responsibilities:
• Provides support to the ISSM for maintaining the appropriate operational IA posture for a system, program, or enclave
• Assists in maintaining appropriate operational security posture for an information system or program
• Provides support to the Government on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of the information system
• Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and is assigned performs day-to-day security operations of the system
• Assists in the development of the system security policy and ensures compliance with that policy on a routine basis
• Develops and updates the system security plan, as well as managing and controlling changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes
• Provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement IT security programs and policies
• Provides configuration management for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware
Education and Experience:
• Ten years of related work experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering may be substituted for four years of experience; substitution of work experience is at the discretion of the COR
• Has a working knowledge of the security authorization processes and procedures
• Experience in several of the following areas is required: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools
• Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services
• DoD 8570 compliance with Level III Information Assurance Technology: Security+, CAP, GISF, GSLC
